In a bid to increase revenue, the Greater Noida authority on Monday increased land allotment rates by up to 40% for residential plots depending on the category and up to 100% for all industrial plots.

The authority has now divided residential areas into A, B, C and D categories on the basis of facilities available. “Now the rates have been defined category-wise. A category is defined on the basis of civic amenities such as roads, parks, connectivity and location among other parameters. Earlier, there was no category as the city was developing,” said Narendra Bhooshan, chief executive officer of the Greater Noida authority, said.
