How to check RERA status of project: A large number of homebuyers are yet not aware of the fact that it is now mandatory to check if the project they are buying is registered with their respective state's Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) or not. A large number of them don't even know how to check it on RERA's website. It is very easy to check the registration of a developer on a state's state's RERA website. You can check the status of the project on the RERA website before buying any property. Also, make sure to verify that the mentioned specifications of the project are present in the property you want to buy.

 

The Real Estate Regulation and Development Act (RERA) came into force on May 1, 2017. It is now mandatory for developers to mention their RERA registration number in every advertisement of each project they feature, but many homebuyers tned not to cross-check the essential details on the official websites of respective states.

 

A homebuyer must check the information about the project, he / she is interested on RERA's website. The website of RERA not only confirms whether the project is registered or not, but also shows the specifications and details of the project submitted. The RERA website also informs about various ongoing projects available in your area.

 

For the purpose of the act in Delhi NCR, the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) is a designated regulatory authority. On DDA's official website, one can get the details of registered developers, defaulter developers, punished developers, real estate projects, and delayed projects.

 

While Uttar Pradesh RERA already has its website. Detail of any developer in the state can be verified online. There are three tabs on the top side: Search Projects, Search Promoters and Search Agents. Anyone can fetch all the details about the project you are interested in.

 

However, Haryana's RERA website is yet to be launched as the state is already working on the same.
